The Edinboro Kiwanis Club was organized on September 25, 1986. Currently, the largest service organization in the Edinboro area, club membership includes those in a wide range of occupations and age groups. It offers the new member an opportunity to become personally acquainted with people of good standing in many vocations, with varied backgrounds and experiences.
The Club reaches out to attract members from the greater Edinboro community, people of high moral character and concern for human betterment. It offers its members personal growth through hearty fellowship and teamwork, plus the benefits of many strong friendships. Dues for current members are set at $116 a year ($224 for a married couple).
THE OBJECTS OF KIWANIS
To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than the material values of life.
To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
To promote the adoption and application of higher social, business and professional standards.
To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent and serviceable citizenship.
To provide through Kiwanis clubs a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.
To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and good will.
